Kosmick\u00e9 z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed m\u00e1 toti\u017e rozmanit\u00e9 energie. Ov\u0161em tento experiment &#8211; to u\u017e velk\u00e1 v\u011bda je. Je to jednak drah\u00e1 v\u011bda, proto\u017ee pokus s\u00e1m p\u0159ijde americk\u00e9 poplatn\u00edky na dv\u011b miliardy dolar\u016f &#8211; a to nepo\u010d\u00edt\u00e1m vypu\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed raketopl\u00e1nu &#8211; a jednak proto, \u017ee \u0159e\u0161\u00ed velk\u00fd probl\u00e9m soudob\u00e9 fyziky. Spo\u010d\u00edv\u00e1 v tom, \u017ee se fyzikov\u00e9, ale tak\u00e9 astronomov\u00e9 div\u00ed, pro\u010d vesm\u00edr, jak se zd\u00e1, obsahuje pouze hmotu a nikoliv tak\u00e9 stejn\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed antihmoty.<\/p>\n<p>Pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b to n\u011bjak souvis\u00ed s po\u010d\u00e1tkem vesm\u00edru, s velk\u00fdm t\u0159eskem. Jasn\u00fd d\u016fkaz o tom, co se vlastn\u011b tehdy stalo, \u017ee je dnes antihmota vz\u00e1cn\u00e1, ale nem\u00e1me. \u010cili jeden z \u00fakol\u016f tohoto spektrometru je hledat d\u016fkazy pro, anebo proti existenci antihmoty v kosmick\u00e9m z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed. A byl by to velk\u00fd p\u0159evrat, kdyby se poda\u0159ilo kone\u010dn\u011b ur\u010dit, zda tam n\u011bjak\u00e1 antihmota v\u016fbec je &#8211; a kdy\u017e, jak je j\u00ed m\u00e1lo, anebo jak je j\u00ed hodn\u011b.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pokud v\u00edm, tak alfa magnetick\u00fd spektrometr u\u017e navazuje na podobn\u00e1 d\u0159\u00edv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed. Na jak\u00e1 konkr\u00e9tn\u011b?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D\u0159\u00edve ne\u017e byl spektrometr vypu\u0161t\u011bn, u\u017e m\u011bl sv\u00e9ho men\u0161\u00edho brat\u0159\u00ed\u010dka, kter\u00fd startoval v roce 1998 na raketopl\u00e1nu. Tam se vyzkou\u0161ela jeho funkce &#8211; podobal se tedy tomu dne\u0161n\u00edmu spektrometru. Kdy\u017e se zpracov\u00e1vala m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed z tohoto tehdej\u0161\u00edho experimentu, tak tam byl ur\u010dit\u00fd p\u0159ebytek \u010d\u00e1stic, kter\u00fdm \u0159\u00edk\u00e1me elektrony a pozitrony &#8211; pozitrony jsou pr\u00e1v\u011b anti\u010d\u00e1stice. \u010cili z toho se zd\u00e1, \u017ee by n\u011bco podivn\u00e9ho v t\u00e9 fyzice mohlo b\u00fdt. Hledaj\u00ed se proto \u010d\u00e1stice, kter\u00e9 se naz\u00fdvaj\u00ed strangelety.<\/p>\n<p>Jejich n\u00e1zev poch\u00e1z\u00ed z anglick\u00e9ho strange (podivn\u00fd): My toti\u017e rozli\u0161ujeme n\u011bkolik druh\u016f z\u00e1kladn\u00edch element\u00e1rn\u00edch \u010d\u00e1stic, kter\u00fdm \u0159\u00edk\u00e1me kvarky. B\u011b\u017en\u00e1 hmota, z kter\u00e9 jsme my, z kter\u00e9 jsou hv\u011bzdy, z kter\u00e9 jsou planety, se skl\u00e1d\u00e1 v\u011bt\u0161inou jenom ze dvou kvark\u016f. Ty maj\u00ed p\u00edsmenka &#8222;u&#8220; a &#8222;d&#8220;. Potom existuje je\u0161t\u011b t\u0159et\u00ed kvark, kter\u00fd byl objeven \u010d\u00e1sticov\u00fdmi fyziky v urychlova\u010d\u00edch, a ten se jmenuje &#8222;s&#8220; jako &#8222;strange&#8220; &#8211; tedy &#8222;podivn\u00fd kvark&#8220;. Pochopiteln\u011b je podivn\u00fd, kdy\u017e je jenom n\u011bkdy.<\/p>\n<p>A tak se vyslovila domn\u011bnka, \u017ee existuj\u00ed \u010d\u00e1stice, kter\u00e9 se skl\u00e1daj\u00ed z t\u011bchto t\u0159\u00ed kvark\u016f: to znamen\u00e1, \u017ee je tam krom\u011b t\u011bch b\u011b\u017en\u00fdch je\u0161t\u011b onen t\u0159et\u00ed, ten podivn\u00fd &#8211; to jsou ty strangelety. A kdyby se poda\u0159ilo naj\u00edt d\u016fkazy pro jejich existenci, co\u017e ten spektrometr v principu m\u016f\u017ee, byl by to velmi fundament\u00e1ln\u00ed objev fyziky. No a pak jako v\u017edy u nov\u00e9ho experimentu, kter\u00fd d\u011bl\u00e1 n\u011bco, co se je\u0161t\u011b p\u0159edt\u00edm ned\u011blalo, existuje i velk\u00e1 nad\u011bje, \u017ee se najde n\u011bco, na co jsme v\u016fbec p\u0159edt\u00edm nepomysleli. \u010cili \u017ee bude n\u011bjak\u00e9 velk\u00e9 p\u0159ekvapen\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To jsou dobr\u00e9 d\u016fvody, aby byl alfa magnetick\u00fd spektrometr um\u00edst\u011bn na Mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed kosmickou stanici. P\u0159esto nen\u00ed p\u0159ij\u00edm\u00e1n tak \u00fapln\u011b jednozna\u010dn\u011b. A \u017ee tedy ten v\u00fdzkum na kosmick\u00e9 stanici je jenom takov\u00e1 z\u00e1st\u011brka, kter\u00e1 m\u00e1 ospravedlnit velk\u00e9 v\u00fddaje na Mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed kosmickou stanici &#8211; a na tom jist\u011b n\u011bco je.<\/p>\n<p>Jsou d\u00e1le tak\u00e9 lid\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed si mysl\u00ed, \u017ee ten hlavn\u00ed d\u016fvod, to znamen\u00e1 objevov\u00e1n\u00ed antihmoty, je u\u017e vy\u0159e\u0161en, proto\u017ee astronomov\u00e9 mezit\u00edm z\u00edskali dostate\u010dn\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed \u00fadaj\u016f o vzd\u00e1len\u00e9m vesm\u00edru. Kdyby byla antihmota ve vzd\u00e1len\u00e9m vesm\u00edru, tak bychom m\u011bli mnoho z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed gama, kter\u00e9 sledovaly jin\u00e9 dru\u017eice u\u017e dlouh\u00e1 l\u00e9ta, a to z\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed neexistuje. Prost\u011b tam nen\u00ed. Z toho si tedy mysl\u00edme, \u017ee antihmota je vskutku ve vesm\u00edru bu\u010f velmi vz\u00e1cn\u00e1, nebo neexistuje v\u016fbec. To jsou tedy v\u011bci, kter\u00e9 jsou na pokraji takov\u00e9 velk\u00e9 v\u011bdeck\u00e9 politiky, ale popravd\u011b \u0159e\u010deno, d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e1 je ta fyzika.<\/p>\n<p>V ka\u017ed\u00e9m p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b je \u00fa\u017easn\u00e9, \u017ee se poda\u0159ilo na kosmickou stanici dopravit tak t\u011b\u017ek\u00e9 za\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed, kter\u00e9 m\u00e1 hmotnost 7 tun, a instalovat ho.
